Post-World-Café Reflections: Copy and paste these questions to post on your blog and answer them by Tuesday, 10/1 at midnight.  I'm looking forward to seeing what you think!

  1. How did you feel about your discussion experience?  What did you enjoy and what was difficult?
  • I feel satisfied with my group discussion experience.  I enjoyed the conversation and the mutual thinking about certain points. The speeches of some student were not clear since English was not their mother language.

  1. Which letter from #5 on page 1 was hardest to decide in your group?                      a          b          c          d
Why do you think it was the hardest?.
  • The hardest question was about the most memorable article because this is related to the personal differences
  1. Was it easy or difficult to come to agreements with your groups?  What made it easy and what made it challenging?
  • It was difficult to come to agreement with my group because we came from different backgrounds.

  1. Were you happy with your group’s definition of courage?  What would you like to change, if anything?
  • Yes, nothing to be changed.

1. Do you think humans will need to move to another planet?  Why or why not?
No, I do not think so. We do not have to move to another planet because we will not find many things that we wanted as in Earth.

 2. If it does happen that some humans move to another planet, would you volunteer to go?  Why or why not?
No, I will not volunteer to go, because I think it is very dangerous to go to  another planet.

 3.  Read this article about people who have signed up to move to Mars: http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/09/tech/innovation/mars-one-applications/index.html  What is your reaction to this story?

I think that people who sign to go to Mars did not know of the difficulties they will face there. According to Lansdorp said that "We will create an atmosphere that looks like the atmosphere on Earth, so you could say that we are terraforming the habitat. But to terraform the entire planet, that's a project that will take hundreds and hundreds of years," he added. There are many risks for space travel such as radiation. NASA does not allow their astronauts to expose themselves to radiation levels that might increase the risk of developing cancer by more than 3%. Also, Mars One is planning a one-way journey according to a recent study by scientists at the space agency.  The radiation is also a concern on Mars.  Being on Mars could expose astronauts to even more radiation, depending on how long they stay and what the shielding conditions are like. Radiation can lead to cell death or result in cancer. Finally, if you decide to go to Mars, remember that you will never return to earth.

 4. What do you think Ray Bradbury wanted the readers of "All Summer in a Day" to understand?  What did you think after reading this story?
- The author wants to explain to the readers the importance of the insistence of a person to achieve his dream.  He Explained this point in the role of Mrgot in his story.  She insistence that the sun will come soon.   Unfortunately, she could not see the sun because of a silly game made by her friends. I think that a person should believe in his/her abilities and work hard to achieve his dreams without loosing hope.
